Warranty Policy for Byotto Jewellery
At Byotto, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our jewellery and believe in building long-lasting relationships with our customers. We want you to feel confident and satisfied with your purchase, which is why we offer a five-year warranty for all our pieces. This warranty covers any manufacturing faults that may cause the jewellery to break or become defective.
Warranty Coverage
If your jewellery breaks due to a manufacturing fault within five (5) years from the date you received your order, we will gladly either repair, replace or provide you with store credit of equal value if the item is no longer in stock. All warranty claims are dealt with on a case by case basis and at Byotto’s discretion. It is important to note that the warranty is valid for any defects in our materials or workmanship only.
What is not covered?
The warranty does not cover any damages cause (or partly caused) or contributed to, by any of the below:
Loss of your Byotto jewellery;
Chain breakage (unless caused by improper workmanship);
Damages resulting from reasonable wear and tear;
Accidental damage, improper care or misuse of the jewellery by you or any third party not engaged by us (including any third party repairer of products purchased through Byotto);
Continued use of your Byotto jewellery (where such use is not reasonable) after any defect in your jewellery becomes apparent; or
Failure by you to notify us of any defects in your Byotto jewellery within a reasonable period of time after you become aware of the relevant defect;
Loose stones due to wear and tear of abuse;
Gemstones that are chipped, scratched, nicked or broken due to wear and tear or other damage;
Settings and/or prongs that are bent or broken due to wear and tear or abuse;
Discolouration that is due to exposure to chemicals and makeup;
Gemstones set with exposed edges, such as in a prong setting, will have a higher chance of sustaining damage;
Annual Jewellery Check Up
Byotto recommends you have your jewellery checked annually to ensure all stone settings are secure. We also recommend a clean and polish which will have your jewellery looking as sparkly as the day you first saw it. Byotto offers an in store complimentary annual jewellery check up and polish and clean for the first 5 years of purchase.
If you’re sending your jewellery to us for a check up, a two-way postage fee will be required from you.
Warranty Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim, you must:
Contact us via email (help@byotto.com.au) within a reasonable time when you become aware that the jewellery is defective. Please provide your order details and describe the manufacturing fault or breakage.
Our team will guide you through the necessary steps and provide instructions on returning the item if required.
Once we receive the item, our jewellery specialist will make an assessment of the claim and item. Once the manufacturing fault is verified, we will promptly reach out to issue a replacement or store credit.
Important Considerations
As soon as you become aware that the jewellery is defective, you must notify us via our email (help@byotto.com.au) or through our ‘Contact Us’ page.
Proof of purchase, such as order confirmation or receipt, and description and photographs of the claimed defect, is required to validate the warranty claim.
If we require, you must return the jewellery together with all packaging, parts, accessories and documentation to the address we provide to you.
Postage will be at the buyer’s expense unless agreed otherwise. We recommend using registered/trackable post as we do not hold responsibility for missing or lost packages.
The warrant is non-transferrable and only applies to the original person who purchased it.
Any modifications or repairs performed by third parties without our authorisation may void the warranty.
